George Galdorisi delivers a unique “package” of writing across a wide spectrum of media and broad professional experience to provide one-of-a-kind professional writing talent.

With eight books – both fiction and non-fiction – including the New York Times best-seller Tom Clancy Presents: Act of Valor, the primary focus of his work is in book format and also includes chapter-length contributions to other books.

These book length-projects build on an additional body of work including over 200 articles in professional magazines, defense journals, newspapers, and professional conference proceedings, among others, and are captured in his curriculum vitae (also on this website).  Of note, he wrote or co-authored over 30 such articles in 2011 alone, demonstrating a unique ability to provide quality, publishable content on deadline.

His work has been recognized with numerous writing awards, including the Navy League of the United States Alfred Thayer Mahan Award for Literary Achievement, Hook Magazine Contributor of the Year, and a diverse array of literary awards from organizations such as the U.S. Naval Institute, the Surface Navy Association, the Naval Helicopter Association, the Navy League of Australia, the Naval Helicopter Historical Society, and Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center.

His ability to write with authority on military matters and cutting-edge technology is supported by his thirty-year career as a naval aviator and his current work as a strategist, analyst and long-range planner at the U.S. Navy’s C4ISR Center of Excellence in San Diego.  Additionally, his articles in professional journals such as U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings and U.S. Naval War College review have been recognized as identifying important military and technology issues and trends well before they are identified in the mainstream media.

His ability to create quality prose, coupled with his ability to deliver it in a compelling way,  has made him a sought after speaker beyond the regular “book signing circuit.”  He has been an invited speaker and panel moderator at venues as diverse as U.S. Naval Institute and Armed Forces Communications and Electronic Association Conferences, the United Kingdom’s Royal United Services Institute Conferences, the Royal Australian Navy’s Sea Power Conferences, Common Defense West Conferences, U.S. Naval Academy Naval and Maritime History Symposium, the National Fire Control Symposium, the International Command and Control Research and Technology Symposium, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Symposium, the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation Symposium, the Canadian Maritime Forces Pacific Maritime Security Challenges Conference, the Navy Human Systems Integration Symposium, and many others – as well as speaking engagements at several universities nationally and internationally.
